Prostate cancer is going to strike one out of every six men at some point in life. While there is no particular diet designed to eliminate all the risk of prostate cancer, there are some things a man can do to reduce his likelihood of getting this dreaded and crippling disease down the road. Some of the simplest ways include following the example of many women and looking to improve one’s diet.

There are a great number of different foods you can eat to reduce your risk of developing prostate cancer. For example, tomatoes and their related products are more than just delicious. They are also a great way to avoid getting prostate cancer. Another great way to stave off prostate cancer is by consuming cruciferous veggies such as broccoli and cauliflower. With these plus selenium, which is found in Brazil nuts, you can do yourself a lot of good in the fight against this nasty, sexually debilitating cancer before it ever has a chance to get a foot hold in your life.

As well, coffee drinkers may want to actually drink more. Apparently, drinking 6 or more cups of java per day does wonders in your fight against getting prostate cancer. Whileit may make you jittery and it could give you heart problems, you can keep those in check through regular exercise. With that much caffeine in your system, going out and running a few miles ought not to be a big deal anyway. If you like more sedate drinks, you can also derive a similar benefit from drinking green tea, only without being at risk of getting the shakes.
